Katherine Hughes is a versatile musician who has been a professional violinist, producer, and contractor in Chicago for over forty years.

As a regular in the studio since the age of sixteen, Katherine has collaborated on original projects, soundtracks for television shows and commercials, music for video games, incidental music for stage plays, and demonstration recordings for music publishers.

Katherine has performed in the pit orchestras for numerous Broadway shows including “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical”, “Aladdin”, “Pretty Woman”, “Something Rotten”, and “Dear Evan Hansen”. She is the concertmaster of the City Lights Orchestra, and plays regularly with the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra and Chicago Opera Theater. Katherine is a member of Artistrings string quartet, which enjoys a substantial YouTube presence. She produces an annual benefit concert and art exhibit for the nonprofit organization Hands of Peace.
